Custom Leather Patches with a Premium Finish
Leather patches are a favorite of outdoor brands, breweries, restaurants, workwear companies and fashion labels because they communicate quality at a glance. They pair especially well with trucker hats, beanies, denim jackets, aprons and leather goods.
There are three main ways to apply your design:
- Debossing presses your logo into the leather with a custom die, creating a clean recessed impression. It is subtle, tactile and classic.
- Laser engraving burns the design into the surface for crisp detail and contrast — great for fine lines and small text.
- Printing adds color to leather for logos that need brand colors.
We offer genuine leather in natural, tan, brown and black tones, as well as faux (PU) leather in a wide range of colors, including options that suit vegan product lines. Edges can be cut to almost any shape and finished with a stitched perimeter for a hand-crafted look.
Care and aging
Genuine leather develops a natural patina over time. A leather conditioner keeps patches supple. Faux leather is more uniform and water resistant, which makes it practical for hats that see sweat and rain.

Materials
Genuine cowhide leather or PU faux leather, decorated by debossing, laser engraving or printing. Optional stitched perimeter.
Size guidance
Hat patches are typically 2 × 3 inches, denim labels 2 × 3.5 inches and apron or bag patches 3–4 inches. Laser engraving holds smaller detail than debossing.
Quantities & pricing
Minimum order is 10 patches per design. Debossed designs require a custom die, which is a one-time cost reused on reorders.
Artwork recommendations
Leather decoration is usually one tone, so supply a single-color version of your logo. Vector artwork gives the cleanest debossing and engraving. Avoid very thin lines on debossed patches.

FAQ
Leather patch FAQs
Do you offer faux leather patches?
Yes. PU faux leather is available in many colors and is a good fit for vegan product lines and hats that face sweat or rain.
Which is better: debossed or laser engraved?
Debossing creates a pressed, tactile impression and suits bold logos. Laser engraving gives higher contrast and finer detail. We can show both in your proof.
How are leather patches attached to hats?
Most hat patches are sewn on for durability. Heat-applied adhesive is also available for production lines that need speed.
